  • The famous Arco Chato (Flat Arch) at the Iglesia Santo Domingo in Casco Viejo in Panama City. The church was built in 1678 but destroyed by fire in 1756. Since then it has remained a ruined shell, but the Arco Chato, which does not have external support, survived for centuries. It finally collapsed in 2003 but has since been rebuilt.
