  • A display of the wide range of bombs, missiles, and artillery shells that were used by American forces against the Viet Cong in the area. The Cu Chi tunnels, northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, were part of a much larger underground tunnel network used by the Viet Cong in the Vietnam War. Part of the original tunnel system has been preserved as a tourist attraction where visitors can go down into the narrow tunnels and see exhibits on the defense precautions and daily life of the Vietnamese who lived and fought there.

  • The clock tower of Catedral Metropolitana, The dimples in the top section are oyster shells decorating with mother-of-pearl. Standing on the western side of Plaza de la Independencia (or Plaza Mayor), the Catedral Metropolitana was built between 1688 and 1796.   • The famous Arco Chato (Flat Arch) at the Iglesia Santo Domingo in Casco Viejo in Panama City. The church was built in 1678 but destroyed by fire in 1756. Since then it has remained a ruined shell, but the Arco Chato, which does not have external support, survived for centuries. It finally collapsed in 2003 but has since been rebuilt.
