Temple of Literature Hanoi Stone Tablets
A row of stone stelae, known as the Doctors' Stelae, in the third courtard of the Temple of Literature in Hanoi. Each is inscribed with text. The base of each tablet is a stylized giant turtle, one of the city's main symbols. The temple was built in 1070 and is one of several temples in Vietnam which are dedicated to Confucius, sages and scholars.
