Memorial to Japanese-American Patriotism in World War II
An inscription that reads "The lessons learned must remain as a grave reminder of what we must not allow to happen again to any group", a quote from former US Congressman and US Senator Danial Inouye, at the Memorial to Japanese-American Patriotism in World War II near the US Capitol in Washington DC. The memorial was designed by Davis Buckley and Nina Akamu and commemorates those held in Japanese American internment camps during World War II.
