Stonehenge Monochrome with Stark Clouds. Believed to have been built somewhere between 2000 and 3000 BC, Stonehenge is one of the United Kingdom's most distinctive landmarks. It's function and purpose remains a matter of conjecture, although many theories have been offered. It consists of a series of large standing stones, some of which have toppled over the centuries. Stonehenge is located in Salisbury Plain west of London.
