Memorial to Japanese-American Patriotism in World War II
An inscription that reads "May this memorial be a tribute to the indomitable spirit of a citizenry in World War II who remained steadfast in their faith in our democratic system," a quote by US Congressman and former internee Norman Mineta at the Memorial to Japanese-American Patriotism in World War II near the US Capitol in Washington DC. The memorial was designed by Davis Buckley and Nina Akamu and commemorates those held in Japanese American internment camps during World War II.
