Istanbul Archaeology Museums
A white marble statue of a man from Cyrene, Libya. It was retroceded by the British Museum in 1870. It dates to the 2nd century CE (2nd century AD). The Istanbul Archaeology Museums, housed in three buildings in what was originally the gardens of the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul, Turkey, holds over 1 million artifacts relating to Islamic art, historical archeology of the Middle East and Europe (as well as Turkey), and a building devoted to the ancient orient.
