Capitol Columns at National Arboretum Close-up
The Captiol Columns at the US National Arboretum in Washington DC, a Department of Agriculture education and research reserve. The 22 sandstone Corinthian columns originally supported the East Portico of the US Capitol Building but removed in 1958 as part of an expansion project. They were salvaged and repaired and moved to the National Arboretum in 1990.
