  • Swimmers enjoy the crystal clear waters of Cenote X'kakah near Valladolid (also near Dzitnup). Part of the Yucatan's massive network of underground waterways that pass through the porous limestone, Cenote X'kakah is a popular underground swimming hole. It has a small opening in the ceiling that lets in light, fresh air, and even a little rain, and impressive stalactites hanging from the ceiling. The water temperature is a constant 76 degrees fahrenheit year round.
