Hoa Lo Prison (Hanoi Hilton) // Hanoi, Vietnam

Originally built by the French during the colonial period and used for political prisoners, Hao Lo Prison became notorious during the Vietnam War as the place that American pilot prisoners of war were kept. It was sarcastically referred to as the "Hanoi Hilton." A portion of the original complex has been kept as a museum.
