Buddha Statue at Dhammayan Gyi Phaya Temple

BAGAN, MYANMAR--Dating back to the 12th century, Dhammayan Gyi Phaya Temple (also known as Dhammayan-gyi) is the largest temple in Bagan. It has not received the same restoration attention as some of the other temples, and its dark inner halls are now home to hundreds of bats. Its tower has not been restored, making it unique among Bagan's larger temples.
